I am a great believer in the healing power of nature. Going for a walk in a beautiful nature scene relaxes the mind. It slows down thoughts and brings back a sense of inner peace. Portland is not a pretty island—but it has a wonderful raw beauty to it. Whilst you are here on a personal retreat, you may join me for an early morning walk—or not. It's entirely up to you.

If you decide to come, I leave the house at 7 am and we will be back just before 8 am – just in time for breakfast.

Depending on the weather and your fitness level I will choose one of the many walks around this area. We can go up to TopHill and see part of Tout Quarry and admire the views. Or there are easier walk along the beach or up above the Portland Harbour.

Early evening meditation sessions

No matter which retreat you choose there will be at least one opportunity for you to do some meditation with me. This is held from 5:30 pm until 6 pm in the Sky Room. No former experience of mediation is required. If you have not done any meditation before I will take you through a guided meditation.

Mediation helps you deeply relax. Breathing slows down and you will experience a great sense of calm. This is a optional, complimentary service. Please note that I am not available to do meditation on Friday evenings.

It's so simple that we often forget to include these rituals into our lives. Whilst you are here on your personal retreat I offer you the chance to enjoy and these experiences.
